About the Journal

Afro-Asian Business Review (AABR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing rigorous, relevant, and impactful research in the business and management field, with a particular emphasis on phenomena that shape practices in African and Asian economies while maintaining global scholarly standards. The journal serves as a platform for high-quality research that deepens the understanding of business practices, institutional contexts, and managerial challenges in emerging, transitional, and developing markets. AABR welcomes scholarly articles covering a broad range of topics related to business, management, and organizational studies, and its scope extends beyond traditional boundaries to include context-specific and comparative research that situates Afro-Asian issues within broader global frameworks.

We follow a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, research integrity, and global scholarly standards.

Our Vision

“To advance business and management knowledge by integrating theoretical insights with real-world practices across Afro-Asian economies.”

Aims and Scope

The primary aims of the journal are to promote research addressing business and management challenges in African and Asian contexts, to encourage theoretically grounded and empirically rich contributions to the international business literature, and to advance knowledge of how institutional, cultural, economic, and technological factors influence organizational outcomes.  AABR supports interdisciplinary perspectives and policy-relevant research with clear managerial or developmental implications, and it encourages a wide variety of methodological approaches, including quantitative empirical studies, qualitative research, mixed-methods designs, conceptual and theory-building papers, systematic reviews, and cross-national studies. The journal considers original research, review and synthesis articles, conceptual contributions, analytical case studies, and practitioner-oriented manuscripts, all of which must demonstrate theoretical relevance, methodological rigor, and a clear contribution to existing scholarship. All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process that adheres to established publication ethics and academic integrity standards, ensuring transparency, fairness, and scholarly excellence throughout the editorial and review process.
